Alldeles för sent. Kullaberg | Sverige Vi var nere i Skåne och utforskade den västra kusten. Det var vår första dag på en fyra dagars resa. Efter att varit ner till Malmö för att fota Öresundsbron var vi nu på väg norrut mot vårt solnedgångsmål och vi var sena, mycket sena! När vi körde längs kusten kunde vi se ett fantastiskt ljus vid horisonten. Solen kastade fantastiska "God beams" från molnen och tände upp vattnet under det. Det var overkligt! Men det var så frustrerande eftersom vi visste att vi hade minst femton minuter kvar att köra och då, det här var första gången vi någonsin varit på denna plats, visste vi inte vad vi skulle förvänta oss och hur lång tid det skulle ta för oss att komma ner till själva fotograferingsplatsen. Tyvärr visade det sig att dessa "God beams" var försvunna innan vi ens kom till parkeringen. Sedan var det en promenad innan vi kom till rätt område, och då var det en ganska brant och hal stig ner till stranden. Solen var nu under horisonten och det var endast några minuter innan ljuset skulle vara helt borta. Jag insåg att jag var tvungen att sätta min frustration åt sidan och ta in och uppskatta det jag såg framför mig. Denna plats var otroligt vacker! Helt enkelt spektakulär! Det var ännu mer fantastiskt än vad jag hade förväntat mig. Jag lyckades hitta den här platsen inom tre minuter och medan jag stod där, fullkomligt dog ljuset för mig. Det finns lärdomar att göra med detta, men jag måste säga att jag åtminstone fick en bild jag är väldigt nöjd med och jag kommer tillbaka en dag, det är säkert! Och nu är vi sena till middagen! ... Sony A7rII | 8 sek | f / 8,0 | ISO 50 | 15 mm Much to late. Kullaberg | Sweden We were down in Skåne, the most southern part of Sweden, and exploring the coastline at the west. It was our first day of a four days trip. We were heading towards our sunset destination and we were running late, much to late! As we were driving along the coastline we could see a most fantastic light at the horizon. The sun was casting fantastic God beams from the clouds and lit up the water underneath it. It was unreal! But it was so frustrating because we know that we had at least fifteen minutes to drive and then, because this was the first time we ever been to this location, we didn't know what to expect and how long it would take to get down to the actual shooting location. As it turned out those God beams disappeared before we even got to the parking. Then it was quite a walk before we got to the right area, and then it was a quite steep and slippery path down to the beach. The sun was under the horizon and now there was a matter of minutes before the light would be totally gone. I realized that I had to set my frustration aside and actually embrace what I saw before me. This place was so beautiful! Absolutely spectacular! It was even more fantastic than I was expecting. I managed to find this spot within three minutes and while I was standing there the light littery was dying on me. There are lessons to learn but I have to say I did get one shot I'm very pleased with and I will be back some day, that's for sure! And now we were running late for dinner!... Led min väg Kullens fyr | Kullaberg Ljuset hade slocknat ut över havet och det var dags att ta sig till hotellet så att vi inte missade middagen. Men på väg upp såg jag fyren högt där uppe som nu var tänd. Fyren var omgiven av byggnadsställningar och presenningar vilket jag först tyckte var typiskt men när jag tittade närmare på displayen efter att jag ändå tog en bild så tyckte jag nog att det såg lite häftigt ut ändå. Presenningarna hade blåst sönder och fladdrade i den hårda vinden vilket jag tyckte skapade lite mystik i bilden. Den långa exponeringstiden skapade även rörelse i molnen som ytterligare bidrog till mystiken i bilden. Jag använder här ett vidvinkelobjektiv som har förmågan att förvränga perspektiv och upplevt avstånd. Saker som är en bit bort upplevs som mycket längre bort än det i själva verket är. Det har jag dragit nytta av här vilket har bidragit till att de närmaste klippväggarna ser ut att vara tiotals meter höga fast de endast är drygt två meter höga i verkligheten. Men för att uppnå den effekten behöver man se till att vinkla objektivet nedåt. Men nu, nu måste vi verkligen åka till hotellet! Redigerad i Lightroom Sony A7RII | 30 sek | f/8.0 | ISO 100 | 15 mm // Jani Lead the way Kullens lighthouse | Kullaberg | Sweden The light was gone towards the sea and it was time to get to the hotel so we did not get late for dinner. But on our way up I saw the lighthouse high up there which was now lit. The lighthouse was surrounded by scaffolding and tarpaulins, which at first I thought was typical, but when I had a closer look at the display after I took the picture, I actually thought it looked promising. The tarpaulins had blown apart and fluttered in the strong wind, which I thought created a bit of mystery in the picture. The long exposure also created movement in the clouds which further contributed to the mystery of the image. I used a wide-angle lens here that has the ability to distort perspective and perceived distance. Things that are a bit away are perceived as much further away than they actually are. I have taken advantage of this here, which has contributed to the nearest rock walls appearing to be tens of meters high, even though they are only just over two meters high in reality. But to achieve that effect, you need to make sure to point the lens downwards. But now, now we really have to get to the hotel! Lila stenar Kullaberg | Sverige Vi hade på kvällen innan fått se fantastiska bilder Peter Nilsson @natureinframes från områdena kring Skåne. Jag blev mest imponerad av kustlinjen vid norra Kullaberg. Enligt Peter var dock årstiden inte maximal då det vätter mot norr och solen går upp i öst och ner i väst så att stranden är i ständig skugga. Men vi kunde inte motstå frestelsen att se efter med våra egna ögon så vi tog oss dit tidigt på morgonen. Med pannlampor letade vi oss ner till den steniga stranden. Vägen ner till stranden var brant men det fanns en stig och det fanns rep att hålla sig i. Vi hade tur med ljuset. Tio minuter innan soluppgång så färgades en del av molnen lila och dessa färgade i sin tur de ljusare stenarna på stranden svagt lila. I was most impressed by the coastline at the northern Kullaberg. According to Peter, however, the season is not at its best as it turns north, and the sun rises in the east and sets in the west and therefore the beach is in constant shade. But we could not resist the temptation to see with our own eyes and got there early in the morning. With headlamps we were heading down to the rocky beach. The path down to the beach was steep but there was a path and there were ropes to hold on. We were fortunate with the light. Ten minutes before sunrise, some of the clouds were colored purple and these in turn stained the lighter rocks on the beach a bit of purple.
