Autumn A day like this brings out the fall and show it at its best. The water sparkles clear and it is colored blue by the clear blue sky. The sun makes all the leaves light up in all its glorious colors.

A treasure of colors

A treasure of colors In the autumn the ground and trees get filled with leafs of most beautiful colors. But you have to go there and enjoy all this grandeur, you can't bring it home. That's just not the same! I can show you a glimpse of it with a little help of my camera, but... that's just not the same! 

Down by the river

Down by the river Gysinge | Sweden. There are places where you can really take in all that life offers. This place was just such a place and I long there as soon as I see this picture. I can imagine that it gets incredibly beautiful here in the winter when the snow has just fallen ... The place is Gysinge in Sweden and this picture was taken just off the road down by the river, very accessible. A postcard from Autumn Gysinge | Sweden. Last week I posted a picture, where I stood on exactly the opposite side and photographed this location. The pictures were taken the same day. Surely there must be a good score for a place when you can shoot it from two completely different directions and still be perceived as incredibly beautiful! Otherwise, it's often the case that a photo of a place just depicts a carefully selected cross-section of reality. Which of course is a strength with photography. Soon fall again

Soon fall again Suddenly the heat disappeared and rainy weather after rainy weather sweeping over us. It feels like, all of a sudden it's time to start preparing for the fall. But when I see this picture and see that it's taken ten months ago, I can after all still look forward to the fall with a certain joy.

To the other side What a power bridges have! As soon I see a bridge, I want to take me over and see what's on the other side! Isn't that funny?

A night in purple

A night in purple The sun was still on the sky and the clouds right over me was turning purple. These purple clouds gave the whole scene this lovely purple tone. You can see a part of the purple cloud reflected in the water...

Sleepwalking

Sleepwalking By converting this otherwise colorful autumn image to black and white and then brightened the otherwise yellow and orange leaves, I think it has had the appearance of an infrared image. One gets the feeling that it was taken in the middle of the night, or taken out of a dream. I also gave it a little bit blue/purple toning in the dark tones.

An Autumn mirror

An Autumn mirror It does not get much better than this! The autumn colors are at their absolute peak and the sun is shining on a clear blue sky with only some veil clouds as a bonus. Half an hour later, I sat and had coffee with a couple of friends from my photo club and just enjoyed the view.

A view from a bridge

A view from a bridge I stand on a bridge and watch the sun light up the autumn landscape in front of me. It is an absolutely amazing sight and I wonder how I'll ever be able to reproduce all this in an image. I decide to take a panorama with three exposures to include everything I see in front of me. My hope is that you experience any of what I am describing as you now see my picture. I used my 5D Mk II and my 24mm TS-E lens.

Before the coming evening In there, the dinner will soon be served and I know they are waiting for me. But they should know better, you can not leave when it's this kind of light!

Late hour

Late hour Now we're finally getting warm days even a little further north in the world. The best thing about hot days, I think, is that it brings warm evenings that invite to late nights out on the porch with good company and good food.

Autumn in Chocolate brown

I sat and played with the tone I wanted for this black and white image. I had a hard time deciding so I tried to increase the color saturation of the tone and then I suddenly noticed this chocolate brown color. I think it is absolutely wonderful! And I must admit I had a little fun too :-)

An Autumn morning

An Autumn morning When I took this picture, I wanted to experiment a little with the composition. I placed the busiest information in the top part of the image, and allowed for more than half the picture to only contain a few elements. I myself think it's interesting to reflect on how you let your eyes move over the picture and that you're not "done" with the image that fast ... What do you think?

Into the mist We have had an unusual amount of fog throughout this week. I hope it continues over the weekend and that I'll have time to get out to take advantage of the situation. Fog can really create exciting images!

Short but beautiful Autumn This year, the fall came late and left early. It was a shorter fall than ever before. Luckily I managed to get out and shoot some mornings and evenings during these weeks and I'm looking forward to see the images from these trips to emerge on the screen, and thus prolong the feeling of autumn in the upcoming dark time before the snow arrives.
